Sick day

I had to stay home yesterday with a temp of 102. Daddy took the day off too, because he has more sick time than Mommy does. My day started with a nice two hour nap - yep, I was up for an hour and then went right back to sleep. We took Mommy out for lunch, and then Daddy took me to the park - fresh air is a natural remedy, right? I didn't like the swings too much, but the slide sure was fun.
That tuckered me out, so I went down for another nap, this time over 3 hours. I'm feeling much better now and went to daycare as normal. Sometimes you just need a day off with Daddy...

New Shoes

Yes folk, those are ladybug shoes. If it's got a ladybug on it, I own it! I received these from my Granny for my birthday last year. Unfortunately I didn't have an opportunity to wear them over the wet Seattle winter, but May has been a beautiful month.
Luckily my feet don't grow as fast as my head!

We are family...

First photo of all three cousins.
Shelby: 3 years, 4 months
Berkeley: 2 weeks
Paige: 1 year, 7 months
Special thanks to Grandma for pointing out that my head is larger than Shelby's...even though she's two years older than me.
No I didn't smile the entire time, but at least I didn't cry...

Day Out with the Girls

Saturday we had our annual trip to the local plant nurseries. The kiddos had fun looking for the turtle in one of their many ponds.

It was a great excuse to play in the dirt and touch everything (and not get yelled at).

Overall a fun day!

Big Girl Now

Mommy bought me a potty on Monday, and I used it for the first time last night. I'm a quick learner! She knows it was a fluke but was super excited regardless.

{totally unrelated picture is included, because really, anything else would just be wrong, no?}

:o)

New Game

Where's Paige?

There she is!

Repeat 10 times. Until she slams her finger in the door when closing. Crying commences. End game.

Say CHEESE!

Originally this post was going to be something motorcycle themed, to show Paige taking cousin Shelby for a ride on her Harley. Then I look at the pictures...it appears that my child now knows what a camera is, and likes to ham it up. Only her "smile" is something along the lines of a one-eyed-squint-I’m-going-to-see-how-distorted-I-can-make-my-face. Quite possibly a face only a mother could love...?

Proof that I'm not making this up:

Christian Louboutin? Jimmy Choo? Maybe when she's older...

Paige's new love is shoes. Sneakers, motorcycle boots, high heels...she's not picky. You leave them out, she finds them. And now that she knows how to open doors, shoes aren't even safe in the closet anymore.

She's a pro at walking in sneakers. The motorcycle boots are challenging, due to the fact that they weigh as much as she does. Heels, well, she has many years of practice ahead of her for those!

I'm not too keen on socks with the peep-toe, but at least she knows how to coordinate with her outfit!

We're going to give this blogging thing a try...

Bear with me while I get the hang of this. I'll give you a cute picture to view in the meantime!
